Student Opportunity Awards

Student Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of two Student Opportunity Awards.

K-State Hero Award

Recognizing students who have shown an outstanding commitment to K-State through campus leadership, community service or other areas of student life. If you know a K-State hero, please nominate them by Nov. 2 or April 11.

K-State Proud Award

K-State Proud Awards will be allocated by a student allocations committee to help students who are struggling to make ends meet and have exhausted all other forms of financial assistance. You can nominate yourself for an award, or you may nominate a fellow student. Faculty members are also encouraged to nominate deserving students. K-State Proud Awards have no application deadline; awards are made year-round.

Submit a self nomination

Submit a 3rd party nomination

Thanks for being K-State Proud!

K-State Proud Award process: Within 1-2 business days, you will receive an e-mail acknowledgement of your nomination. The nominee will also receive a form to complete granting the awards allocation committee permission to consult with the Office of Student Financial Assistance. Within a week after the signed permission form is received, the allocation committee will review the nomination and determine whether additional information or verification of need is necessary. One week after the committee's first review, either an award will be made or the request will be declined. This timeline is dependent on when information is received from the nominee.
